Kosho-ji Temple is the head temple of the Rinzai sect Entsuzan, located in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto. It was built in 1603 (Keichō 8) with Kiinenni as its founding priest, who kindly taught the basics of Buddhism to everyone without discrimination. The temple still carefully preserves the founder's teachings in the modern day. In early summer, the fresh green maple leaves are refreshing, and in autumn, the red-colored maple leaves are beautiful, showing different expressions throughout the four seasons. This is a special plan that includes experiences such as sutra copying and zazen meditation. Please enjoy a peaceful time away from your daily busy life. Additionally, a tea ceremony experience can be arranged for an additional fee. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
